Caring with Compassion: Schools for the Physically and Mentally Challenged
Special Schools
Guided by a mission rooted in love, compassion, and dignity, the Sisters tirelessly serve children with physical and intellectual disabilities through their special schools across India. These schools are not just places of education, but sanctuaries of healing, growth, and joy.
The Sisters dedicate themselves fully—mind, heart, and soul—to the care of children with severe learning disabilities, intellectual and physical challenges, and behavioral difficulties. With deep empathy and unwavering commitment, they provide a safe, structured, and joyful learning environment tailored to the individual needs of every child.
Our Schools
Our Society runs three schools in India:

Curriculum & Daily Life: Empowering with Purpose
The schools follow a holistic and structured curriculum designed to nurture each child according to their ability and age. Children are grouped into Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Pre-Vocational, and Vocational sections—depending on whether they are educable, trainable, or require custodial care.
Every day begins with the Sisters and staff personally receiving the children, many of whom are brought in from over a 25 km radius by school buses. Mornings begin with prayer, yoga, and physical exercises, instilling peace and discipline.
The Sisters are trained teachers in special education. They work hand in hand with Doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists to provide:

-
Individualized education
-
Physical therapy for children with cerebral palsy and other motor challenges
-
Daily life skills training (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming)
-
Functional academics and communication
-
Music, dance, art, and recreational therapy
-
Multi-sensory learning methods (visual, auditory, tactile)
-
A fully equipped and caring kitchen that serves nutritious meals lovingly prepared for the children's needs

Above all, the Sisters serve with maternal care, often feeding the children themselves and ensuring that each child feels safe, respected, and cherished.
Vocational Training: Fostering Independence
For children above 18 years, the Sisters offer vocational training to help them lead independent, dignified lives. These include:

-
Candle making
-
Pottery and painting
-
Greeting card creation
-
Sewing and tailoring
-
Domestic and clerical assistance

These activities not only develop skills but also enhance the children’s self-esteem, social interaction, and sense of responsibility. The Sisters believe that every child, regardless of ability, has a right to opportunity, growth, and joy.

A Safe and Joyful Space
The campuses are fully secured yet barrier-free, giving the children the freedom to move, play, and enjoy their childhood in a safe and supportive environment. The Sisters see each child as a gift from God and are committed to bringing out their full potential with faith, patience, and unconditional love.
