About Us

The institute of Daughters of St. Mary of Providence was approved on September 27 ,1908. It became a Congregation of Pontifical right on November 23, 1931, therefore more visibly expressing its Universal character and sharing in the pastoral solicitude of the Pope. (Const. No: 11) We live, preserve, deepen and develop the Charism of Fr. Guanella in harmony with the body of Christ. In accordance with Mother Marcellina’s exhortation, the desire of every Daughters of St.Mary of Providence should be “To obtain the same spirit of faith in Divine Providence and charity to our neighbour that motivated our Founder. With prayer, we combine the resolution to walk diligently in his footstep”, faithful to our rule of life. (Const. No : 12) Our apostolic commitment has its origin, inspiration and Foundation on God who entrusts to our institute the prophetic mission to remember and serve His Providential plan of love for the whole world. Through religious Consecration and the works of mercy, we proclaim and demonstrate “that God exits and provides for His children as a good Father”. (Const. No: 182)
