GUANELLIAN COOPERATORS
Guanellian Cooperators are lay men and women who choose to live out their Catholic faith by following the spirit, charism, and mission of St. Louis Guanella. By making an official and public promise, they commit themselves to live in the footsteps of the Founder, embracing God’s call to serve Him and the poor with love and humility.

St. Louis Guanella, inspired by the Holy Spirit, recognized that his mission could not succeed without the involvement of the laity. He saw that their participation was essential. As described in Making Charity the Heart of the World, becoming a Guanellian Cooperator is not simply about belonging to a group — it is a heartfelt and active commitment to live a life of charity and service in the footsteps of our Founder. Guanellian Cooperators, united with the Church and guided by the Holy Spirit, feel a shared responsibility in carrying forward the mission of salvation that St. Louis Guanella began. Together with the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence and the Servants of Charity, they form part of the broader Guanellian Family and continue the mission with the same spirit.

These Cooperators are living witnesses of faith, hope, and charity in the world. They embrace their vocation in an associative way, expressing their desire to live as brothers and sisters in Christ and to cooperate with the grace they have received.

Together, they form The Association of Guanellian Cooperators, accepting its statutes as a guide and foundation for the path they are called to walk in response to the Lord’s grace.

Their way of life reflects the same Gospel spirit lived and taught by St. Louis Guanella, and their actions give witness to a deep relationship with God and a compassionate heart for the poor.

The Guanellian cooperators should acquire the spirituality of Saint Guanella whose heart is to be found in the Divine paternity and in the far-sighted tenderness of Mary. They are called to commit themselves to know the life and mission of St. Guanella, of Blessed Clare Bosatta and study how to interpret and live, as cooperators, the Guanellian charism, spirituality and mission.
